meet the crew
jaden montgomery
Growing up surrounded by animals, Jaden has never known life without pets. Although they have more than a decade of professional experience, they had proficiency in handling and caring for large mammals, small mammals, fish, and avian species by the age of 6. From winning multiple world championship titles in equestrian sports to working with hundreds of animals in rescue, Jaden's experience is extensive and all-encompassing. They have substantial experience with more than 70 animal species, a bachelor's in entomology (with focus in behavioral ecology), basic veterinary knowledge, CPR and first-aid certification, more than a decade of experience in training dogs, and, of course, a menagerie of their own furry friends.
Our training philosophy
We believe that every dog is different. As such, we strongly believe that there is no "one size fits all" in dog training. We are not opposed to corrections or aversive tools, but we are firm in our stance that, when done correctly, these should both improve confidence in your dog. We begin our training process with a positive reinforcement approach that emphasizes the use of body language and rewards that your dog values (which might not always be treats!) to form a better sense of communication with your dog. As we get to know your companion, we develop and tailor an individualized training plan that is best suited to the personality and preferences of the canine in front of us. Your dog should look forward to training, and training should improve your dog's overall quality of life. If that isn't happening, then something needs to change!
